In order to be certified as a Master Fire Service Instructor
III the individual must:
(1) hold as a prerequisite a Fire Service Instructor
III certification; and
(2) be a member of a paid, volunteer, or regulated
non-governmental fire department; or a department of a state agency,
education institution or political subdivision providing fire protection
training and related responsibilities; and
(3) hold as a prerequisite a master structural fire
protection personnel certification, a master aircraft rescue fire
fighting personnel certification, master marine fire protection personnel
certification, master inspector certification, master fire investigator
certification, or master arson investigator certification; or
(4) hold a bachelor's degree or higher in education
from a regionally accredited educational institution or a teaching
certificate issued by the Texas State Board of Education.
