RULE §213.16Information, Documentation, and Support

Effective September 1, 2006, unless an exception is approved by the executive director of the state agency or an exemption has been made for specific technologies pursuant to §213.17 of this chapter, all electronic and information resources developed, procured or changed by a state agency shall comply with the standards described in this subchapter. Each state agency shall include in its accessibility policy the following standards/specifications:

  (1) Product support documentation provided to end-users shall be made available in alternate formats upon request, at no additional charge.

  (2) End-users shall have access to a description of the accessibility and compatibility features of products in alternate formats or alternate methods upon request, at no additional charge.

  (3) Support services for products shall accommodate the communication needs of end-users with disabilities.
