| (a) This subchapter implements the applicable provisions of the Texas Contact Lens Prescription Act, Occupations Code, Chapter 353, concerning the issuance of a contact lens prescription, a patient's right of access to that prescription, and the regulation of persons filling contact lens prescriptions. (b) These sections cover definitions; permit fees; petition for rulemaking; sale or delivery of contact lenses and prescription verification; display of permit; permit application requirements and procedures; application processing; renewal of permits; name and address changes; filing complaints and complaint investigations; grounds for disciplinary actions; informal dispositions; formal hearings; and guidelines for issuing permits to persons with criminal convictions. |
