| (a) Authority to establish advisory committees. The
Executive Commissioner has the authority to appoint advisory committees
and to adopt rules regarding the purpose, structure, and use of advisory
committees under Texas Human Resources Code §40.030.
(b) Applicability of Texas Government Code, Chapter
2110. An advisory committee established under this subchapter is subject
to Texas Government Code Chapter 2110.
(c) Applicability of Texas Government Code Chapter
551. Unless otherwise expressly provided, an advisory committee established
under this subchapter is subject to the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government
Code Chapter 551, as if it were a governmental body.
