a degree program, including

• an associate's degree;
• a baccalaureate degree;
• a master's degree; or
• a doctoral degree

• be in good standing with us and meeting all performance expectations;
• have at least 12 months of service time with us or 24 months if you are seeking a graduate degree;
• complete and file with us an education assistance agreement (on forms selected by us) that explains the terms and conditions of the education assistance, including:
  • the amount of the assistance;
  • the requirements for continued eligibility; and
  • a statement of your intent to follow the terms of the agreement;
• have written acceptance from an accredited institution of higher education and a degree plan signed by the institution's department dean or the dean's designee; and
• seek enrollment and participation in a field of study that:
  • relates to your assigned work;
  • satisfies a professional development requirement; or
  • meets an anticipated staffing need, provided that you receive the commissioner's or the commissionerÆs designee's approval based on your aptitude, as demonstrated by your job performance.

  • the amount of the assistance;
  • the requirements for continued eligibility; and
  • a statement of your intent to follow the terms of the agreement; and
• have a written acceptance from the General Equivalency Diploma program.
