(a) Membership on the committee shall include one representative
of each institution receiving funding as a public health related institution
in the General Appropriations Act. These representatives shall have
knowledge of the current funding formulas and the educational goals
of the state.
(b) Interested persons, such as legislative and governmental
relations staff shall be regularly advised of committee meetings.
(c) The number of committee members shall not exceed
twenty-four (24).
(d) The committee may appoint subcommittees or workgroups
as necessary to complete its work. The subcommittees or workgroups
may include members from the formula advisory committees and other
institutional representatives as appropriate.
(e) Members of the committee shall select the presiding
officer, who will be responsible for conducting meetings and conveying
committee recommendations to the Board.
(f) Members shall serve six year staggered terms with
one-third of the membership expiring every other year. A member can
be re-appointed to serve another term.
