business venture.
(9) The student develops and delivers a comprehensive
presentation on a preliminary business concept. The student is expected
to:
(A) identify and explain the components of a pitch;
(B) create a pitch for a preliminary business concept;
(C) align presentation strategies to the intended audience
and purpose;
(D) select and implement effective multimedia strategies
for a presentation;
(E) provide and receive constructive feedback following
a presentation; and
(F) demonstrate effective presentation skills.
(10) The student knows how to access and use organizations
and resources to support entrepreneurs. The student is expected to:
(A) identify and compare the opportunities of various
local, state, and national organizations and associations that provide
resources to entrepreneurs, including startup grants and loans; and
(B) analyze the benefits of the various services provided
by the Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Centers,
Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), chambers of commerce,
institutions of higher education, and industry-related associations.
