RULE §218.10 | Purpose |
Transportation Code, Chapter 643, provides that a motor carrier may not operate a commercial motor vehicle or transport household goods on a for-hire basis on a road or highway of this state unless the carrier registers with the department or is exempt from registration under Transportation Code, §643.002. This subchapter prescribes the procedures by which a motor carrier, leasing business, or for-hire transporter of household goods may register, and sets out minimum insurance requirements and minimum workers' compensation or accidental insurance requirements. |
