RULE §218.50 | Purpose and Scope |
This subchapter sets forth the department's policies and procedures to protect shippers of household goods against deceptive or unfair practices and unreasonably hazardous activities on the part of a household goods carrier. This subchapter also provides a mediation process administered by the department for claims on household goods shipments. Shipments of household goods transported subject to a United States Government Bill of Lading or to a written agreement with the United States Department of Defense are exempt from §§218.53 - 218.62 of this subchapter. |
