(a) DSHS may suspend a license, registration, accreditation,
or approval of an asbestos training course on an emergency basis if
DSHS determines that the public health, interest, or welfare warrants
immediate action.
(b) An emergency suspension is effective immediately.
(c) The person whose license, registration, accreditation,
or approval of an asbestos training course is suspended under subsection
(a) of this section is entitled to an opportunity for a hearing no
later than the 20th day after the date of the emergency suspension
order and in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, Texas
Government Code, Chapter 2001.
