(a) On the petition of the executive director, the commission
may amend a permit, certified filing, or certificate of adjudication in order
to:
(1) protect superior and senior water rights in the river basin,
or in the case of transwatershed diversions of water, in the basin of origin;
(2) provide a reasonable means for the enforcement of the terms,
conditions, provisions, and limitations contained in the water right;
(3) provide for the keeping and reporting of information and
measurements in connection with the use of water;
(4) provide a reasonable means for the enforcement of applicable
law;
(5) correct errors inadvertently made in the preparation of
a water right, such as in the name of the water right holder, boundary description,
or other detail incorrectly transcribed; or
(6) cure ambiguities or ineffective provisions in a water right.
