| (a) The board or the chairperson may establish committees deemed necessary to carry out board responsibilities. (b) The chairperson shall appoint members of the board to serve on committees and shall appoint the committee chairpersons. (c) The chairperson may appoint nonboard members to serve as committee members on a consultant or voluntary basis subject to board approval. (d) Committee chairpersons shall make regular reports to the board in interim written reports or at regular meetings. (e) Committees may direct all reports or other materials to the executive director for distribution. (f) Committees shall meet when called by the committee chairperson or when so directed by the board or the board chairperson. (g) Each committee shall consist of least one public member and one professional member, unless the board authorizes otherwise.
