RULE §115.1Definitions

The following words and terms, when used in this chapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.

  (1) Facility--A building, utility system, grounds or other physical entity under the inventory of the commission.

  (2) Maintenance--Actions required to keep a facility or part of a facility in a usable condition and/or in good appearance, or to prevent deterioration once it has been placed in good condition for its type and age.

  (3) Mechanical operations--Air conditioning, heating, plumbing, ventilation, life safety, and fire warning systems required for environmental condition in buildings.

  (4) Modification--A change in the facility to improve its appearance or function.

  (5) Repair--To replace or restore part of a facility to its original operating condition.

  (6) Utilities--Electricity, gas, water and wastewater services purchased for facilities.
