(a) The department's examination provider will provide
reasonable accommodations for an examination administered to an examination
candidate with a disability as required by the Americans with Disabilities
Act of 1990 (ADA), 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq., its implementing
regulations, and any subsequent amendments to the law and regulations.
(b) When requesting reasonable accommodations for an
examination under this section, the examination candidate must comply
with the following procedures:
(1) The examination candidate must submit a written
request for accommodation and documentation regarding the examination
candidate's disability and the specific accommodations requested.
(2) The written request and documentation under paragraph
(1) must be submitted to the department's examination provider before
scheduling the examination and must be submitted in the form and manner
prescribed by the department's examination provider.
(3) The department's examination provider, on behalf
of the department, will determine whether to grant the requested accommodation.
(c) Upon written request to the department's examination
provider, examinations may be offered in a foreign language at the
expense of the requestor. The request must be submitted before scheduling
the examination.
