(a) In addition to the requirements under §90.43,
each DWI Education Program must:
(1) conduct the prescribed DWI education course a minimum
of two times during each annual reporting period;
(2) provide a minimum of 12 hours of instruction per
course;
(3) provide no more than four hours of instruction
in any one day; and
(4) conduct courses and each class with no more than
30 participants and with no fewer than three participants.
(b) The Program must administer and evaluate pre- and
post-course test instruments for each participant.
(c) Within ten working days after completion of the
course, the Instructor must notify the appropriate community supervision
and corrections department and forward a copy of the certificate of
completion to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
(d) If the participant’s deadline for completing
the course is earlier than ten working days after the participant’s
successful completion of the course, the Instructor must, by no later
than the participant’s deadline:
(1) forward a copy of the certificate of completion
to DPS; and
(2) notify the appropriate community supervision and
corrections department, if requested by the participant, DPS, the
appropriate community supervision and corrections department, or the
court.
