SUBCHAPTER CGRADES 6-8 ASSIGNMENTS
RULE §231.59Social Studies, Grades 7 and 8

An assignment in a departmentalized classroom for Social Studies, Grades 7 and 8, for a holder of a valid elementary, secondary, or all-level certificate is allowed with one of the following certificates.

  (1) Bilingual Generalist: Grades 4-8.

  (2) Core Subjects: Grades 4-8.

  (3) Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading: Grades 4-8.

  (4) Elementary History.

  (5) Elementary History (Grades 1-8).

  (6) Elementary Social Studies (Grades 1-8).

  (7) Elementary teacher certificate plus 18 semester credit hours in social studies.

  (8) English as a Second Language Generalist: Grades 4-8.

  (9) English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies: Grades 4-8.

  (10) English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies with Science of Teaching Reading: Grades 4-8.

  (11) Generalist: Grades 4-8.

  (12) Grades 6-12 or Grades 6-8--History.

  (13) Grades 6-12 or Grades 6-8--Social Studies.

  (14) Grades 6-12 or Grades 6-8--Social Studies, Composite.

  (15) High School--History.

  (16) High School--Social Science, Composite.

  (17) History: Grades 7-12.

  (18) History: Grades 8-12 (Grade 8 only).

  (19) Junior High School or High School--History.

  (20) Junior High School or High School--Social Science, Composite.

  (21) Secondary History (Grades 6-12).

  (22) Secondary Social Studies (Grades 6-12).

  (23) Secondary Social Studies, Composite (Grades 6-12).

  (24) Secondary or all-level teacher certificate plus 18 semester credit hours in social studies.

  (25) Social Studies: Grades 4-8.

  (26) Social Studies: Grades 7-12.

  (27) Social Studies: Grades 8-12 (Grade 8 only).
