(a) Reasonable written notice of the time, date, and
location of an informal conference shall be provided to the respondent
and complainant, if applicable. The notice shall include a statement
of the alleged violation(s) to be considered by the informal conference
panel.
(b) The respondent and complainant shall each be provided
with an opportunity to be heard by the informal conference panel,
and may be represented by counsel. Deliberations by the informal conference
panel are confidential.
(c) The general counsel or a representative of the
attorney general shall be present during an informal conference to
advise the informal conference panel.
(d) Informal conferences regarding complaints requiring
medical expertise shall be conducted by an informal conference panel
comprised of two veterinarian Board members and one public Board member.
(e) Informal conferences regarding complaints not requiring
medical expertise may be conducted by an informal conference panel
comprised of Board staff. The Executive Director may designate the
members of this panel.
