(a) As the primary caregiver, you must routinely be
present in your listed family home during the hours of operation.
(b) You may be temporarily absent for limited periods
of time only if you designate a substitute caregiver to be in charge
of the home during your absence. Substitutes must:
(1) Know they are in charge of the home and for how
long;
(2) Know their responsibilities while in charge;
(3) Have access to all information that would be necessary
to communicate with parents and state and local authorities; and
(4) Have the responsibility from you to run the home
in compliance with the minimum standards.
