Yes. More than one group of children may occupy a room, provided
the following conditions are met:
(1) The room is divided so that groups are separated.
For example, a group of 25 children and another group of 10 children
may be cared for in the same room if the placement of shelves, accordion
doors, low movable walls, or symbolic boundaries divide the area so
that children in one group do not freely mix with children in another
group;
(2) Groups may move from one activity area to another
within the room during the day, but individual children may not freely
mingle between groups; and
(3) The total number of children must not routinely
exceed the room capacity based on activity space.
