The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. (1) Dependent--Has the meaning assigned by the Insurance Code §1501.002(2). (2) Eligible employee--Has the meaning assigned by the Insurance Code §1501.002(3). (3) Fund--The Healthy Texas small employer premium stabilization fund established under the Insurance Code Chapter 1508, Subchapter F. (4) Health benefit plan--Has the meaning assigned by the Insurance Code §1501.002(5). (5) Health benefit plan issuer--Has the meaning assigned by the Insurance Code §1501.002(6). (6) Participating health benefit plan issuer--A health benefit plan issuer which has elected to participate in the Healthy Texas Program in accordance with the Insurance Code Chapter 1508 and this subchapter. (7) Qualifying group health benefit plan--A health benefit plan that provides benefits for health care services in the manner described by the Insurance Code Chapter 1508, and as approved by the commissioner. (8) Small employer--Has the meaning assigned by the Insurance Code §1501.002(14). |
