(a) The owner or operator shall perform an initial
demonstration of compliance test on the emission points specified
in §112.112 of this title (relating to Control Requirements)
for sulfur dioxide, except for flares, while the associated sources
are firing tail gas, by the compliance date in §112.118 of this
of this title (relating to Compliance Schedules). The owner or operator
shall perform additional performance tests at least every five years.
(b) The owner or operator shall use the methods provided
in §112.115 of this title (relating to Approved Test Methods)
for the initial demonstration of compliance test required under subsection
(a) of this section.
(c) During performance testing the owner or operation
shall operate the source at the maximum rated capacity, or as near
thereto as practicable.
(d) The owner or operator shall conduct additional
performance testing, if requested by the executive director. All performance
tests must be conducted using test methods allowed in §112.115
of this title.
(e) If a CEMS is installed, operated, calibrated, and
maintained, in accordance with the requirements in this division,
to monitor emissions from any EPN subject to this division, the requirement
to conduct performance testing once every 5 years no longer applies
to that EPN.
