| (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, a permittee under this subchapter shall notify the department by calling the notification number provided on the permit not more than 24 hours nor less than four hours prior to any authorized activity. (b) In the event that a permittee is presented with an unexpected opportunity to engage in permitted activities and is thus precluded from complying with the requirements of subsection (a) of this section, the permittee may engage in permitted activities, but only after notifying the department by calling the notification number provided on the permit. |
