For an arbitrator to continue to qualify for inclusion in the
registry, the arbitrator must:
(1) complete and submit the renewal form through the
online arbitration system or, if the online arbitration system is
not available, by mailing or emailing the renewal form to the address
specified by the comptroller, on or before:
(A) each renewal date of the applicant's license or
certification under which the applicant was qualified previously under §9.4260
of this title; or
(B) the second anniversary of the date the arbitrator
was initially added to the registry or the arbitrator's listing on
the registry was renewed;
(2) continue to meet the requirements in §9.4260
of this title;
(3) have no history of failure to comply with this
subchapter;
(4) have completed during the preceding two years at
least eight hours of continuing education in arbitration and alternative
dispute resolution procedures offered by a university, college, or
legal or real estate trade association. This continuing education
requirement may be satisfied by submission of documentation that the
arbitrator attended or taught personally at least eight hours of one
or more training courses that meet the requirements of this paragraph;
(5) complete a revised comptroller training program
on property tax law for the training and education of arbitrators
established under Tax Code, §5.043, not later than the 120th
day after the date the program is available to be taken if the comptroller:
(A) revises the program after the individual is included
in the registry; and
(B) determines that the program is substantially revised.
