RULE §29.9Survivor Benefits

In addition to any of these retirement annuity payments, the designated beneficiary of any retired member is eligible to receive survivor benefits as stated in Government Code §824.501. When multiple beneficiaries are named and two or more beneficiaries are eligible for monthly payments, the monthly payment will be split in equal portions. When only one beneficiary named is eligible for monthly payments, the entire monthly payment will be made to that beneficiary.
