RULE §73.42Partial Lump Sum Option for Death Benefit Plan Beneficiaries

A person eligible to receive a death benefit annuity, or to select a death benefit plan, as provided by Subchapter D, Chapter 814, Texas Government Code, may select a partial lump sum distribution in the same manner as if the deceased member had made the selection. The provisions of §814.1082, Texas Government Code, governing payment of a partial lump sum distribution to a member, apply to a beneficiary selecting a partial lump sum distribution.
