SUBCHAPTER JAIRCRAFT OPERATIONS
RULE §1.142Aerial Support Programs

The following are some programs in which the department may utilize an aircraft.

  (1) Law enforcement flights. Flights conducted in support of, but not limited to, the following public safety activities:

    (A) criminal;

    (B) traffic;

    (C) search and rescue;

    (D) medical and disaster; and

    (E) civil disturbances.

  (2) Administrative flights. Flights other than law enforcement flights, where the expeditious and economical movement of personnel and/or equipment is in the state's best interest. Such flights are as follows:

    (A) mail and passenger;

    (B) flight training;

    (C) aircraft maintenance;

    (D) Aircraft Pooling Board flights;

    (E) general transportation flights.
