| (a) To employ a commissioned security officer, a personal
protection officer, or a noncommissioned security officer, a security
department of a private business, as defined in the Act, must notify
and register with the department as provided in §1702.181 of
the Act.
(b) A security department of a private business may
not provide guard company services to a third party unless licensed
as a guard company.
