| (a) An individual who is a military service member,
military veteran, or military spouse may apply for a license under
this section if the individual:
(1) Holds a current license issued by another jurisdiction
with licensing requirements substantially equivalent to the Act's
requirements for the license; or
(2) Within the five (5) years preceding the application
date held the license in this state.
(b) The department may accept alternative demonstrations
of professional competence in lieu of existing experience, training,
or educational requirements.
