|(a) Except as provided by §411.175 of the Act,
electronic fingerprints are required for all original applicants and
must be submitted through the department's approved vendor.
(b) For renewals, if fingerprints on file do not meet
current Federal Bureau of Investigation or the department's quality
standards, applicants will be required to submit a new set of electronic
fingerprints to complete the renewal application process.
(c) Active peace officers are not required to submit
electronic fingerprints unless the fingerprints are not on file with
the department or those on file are deficient.
