| (a) Unless otherwise permitted by law, prior to the release of investigation records, the Commission shall redact the name, address and any other information in the record that tends to reveal the identity of the reporter. (b) In the event the reporter also provided a witness statement or other evidence, the reporter's identity as a witness and the information provided in the role of witness will be released. Any information that might identify the individual as the reporter shall be redacted from the record prior to its release. (c) The Commission may, in its discretion, redact personally identifiable information about any person other than the reporter who is referenced in a report. Identifying information includes, but is not limited to, names, social security numbers, home and work addresses, telephone numbers and driver's license numbers. |
