RULE §159.13Educational Services to Released Offenders/Memorandum of Understanding

(a) The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) adopts a memorandum of understanding with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) concerning the respective responsibilities of the TDCJ and the TEA in implementing a continuing educational program to increase the literacy of releasees.

(b) The memorandum of understanding is required by the Texas Government Code §508.318.

(c) Copies of the memorandum of understanding are filed with the TEA, 1701 North Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78701 and with the TDCJ Parole Division, 8610 Shoal Creek Blvd., Austin, Texas 78758 and may be reviewed during regular business hours.
