(a) The department shall provide the following assistance
to certified communities:
(1) training opportunities for community representatives;
(2) guidance in marketing, plus updates on retirement
trends;
(3) inclusion in the department's electronic marketing
efforts, public relations campaigns and promotions;
(4) information on cooperative participation in the
development of advertising materials, including, but not limited to:
literature, advertising and signage; and
(5) opportunities to partner with state, regional and
national tourism associations, other state agencies and/or other program
partners to develop cooperative campaigns promoting the community.
(b) Upon the department's notice of approval of an
application and payment of the required certification fee by the community,
the department will meet with community representatives to discuss
the Program and the community's needs.
(c) The department will consult with the community
annually to evaluate the effectiveness of the Program.
(d) The department may revoke approval to use the GO
TEXAN Certified Retirement Community certification mark if a community
fails to comply with the Program guidelines, including payment of
fees or misuse of the mark, as defined in §17.56 of this chapter
(relating to Termination of Registration to Use the GO TEXAN Registration
Mark).
