|SUBCHAPTER B||CONFIDENTIALITY AND RELEASE OF RECORDS|
The purpose of this subchapter is to clarify to whom and under what circumstances the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (TDPRS) may disclose information made confidential under §261.201 of the Texas Family Code. These rules apply to those investigations carried out under §261.301(a) of the Texas Family Code. The rules in this subchapter do not apply to the release of information relating to an investigation of abuse or neglect alleged to have occurred in a facility as described in §261.301(b) of the Texas Family Code, nor to the release of information from TDPRS's Central Registry, as described under §261.002 of the Texas Family Code.
