The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. (1) Commission--The Texas Transportation Commission. (2) Department--The Texas Department of Transportation. (3) Displacee--A person lawfully present in the United States who, as a result of the acquisition of property for highway right of way purposes, is required to move from a dwelling, business, or farm. (4) District engineer--The chief administrative officer in charge of a district of the department, or the designee. (5) Executive director--The chief executive officer of the Texas Department of Transportation. (6) Relocation Review Committee--A committee whose members are appointed under §21.118 of this subchapter (relating to Relocation Review Committee). |
