RULE §21.413Decision on Application

(a) The department will make a decision on an application within 60 days of the date of receipt of the application. If the decision cannot be made within the 60 day period, the department will notify the applicant of the delay providing the reason for the delay, and provide an estimate of when the decision will be made.

(b) If the permit application is approved, the department will issue a permit for the sign by sending a copy of the approved application to the applicant.

(c) If the permit application is not approved, the department will send a copy of the denied application and a notice that states the reason for the denial.

(d) If the permit application is denied, the department will notify the landowner identified on the permit application of the denial by written notice. The notice is for informational purposes only, and does not convey any rights to the landowner. The landowner may not appeal the denial unless the landowner is also the applicant.
