RULE §4.10Purpose

It is the policy and practice of the Texas Transportation Commission and the Texas Department of Transportation to ensure and promote internal and external equal employment opportunity and to use affirmative action to achieve these ends. In keeping with this policy and with the requirements of Transportation Code, §§201.401-201.404 and Government Code, Chapters 656, 657, and 672, this subchapter prescribes the procedures for notifying potential applicants of vacant positions within the department, making applications for employment, and obtaining employment preferences related to military service and for former foster children.
