An applicant currently licensed as a marriage and family therapist
in another jurisdiction of the United States who does not meet the
academic requirements in §801.114of this title (relating to Academic
Course Content) may be considered to have met the requirements according
to the following:
(1) If an applicant has been licensed as an LMFT in
another United States jurisdiction for the two years immediately preceding
the date the application is received, the academic requirements (including
the internship) are considered met.
(2) If an applicant has been licensed as an LMFT in
another United States jurisdiction for less than two consecutive years
immediately preceding the date the application is received, staff
may grant one month of credit for every two months of independent
marriage and family therapy practice toward any deficit in the academic
internship requirement.
