(a) The facility shall have written policies and procedures,
including guidelines, parameters, and limitations, on the types of
physical activity that may be used for discipline or refocusing purposes
(e.g., physical activities used to discipline for non-compliant behavior
or as a substitute for write-ups or disciplinary seclusion).
(b) Physical exercises used for intimidation shall
be prohibited.
(c) Residents shall not receive disciplinary sanctions
that cause bodily duress (i.e., physical punishment to the body).
