SUBCHAPTER DTEXAS PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL GRANT AND EMERGENCY TUITION, FEES, AND TEXTBOOK LOAN PROGRAMS
RULE §22.61Authority and Purpose

(a) Authority. Authority for this subchapter is provided in the Texas Education Code, Chapter 56, Subchapter C and D. These rules establish procedures to administer the subchapter as prescribed in the Texas Education Code, §§56.031 - 56.055.

(b) The purpose of the Texas Public Educational Grant and Emergency Tuition, Fees, and Textbook Loan Programs are to provide need-based grants and emergency loans assistance to students attending public institutions of higher education in Texas.
