The requirements in this chapter shall be implemented according to the following schedule. (1) Elementary, kindergarten through Grade 5. All provisions of §74.2 of this title (relating to Description of a Required Elementary Curriculum) shall be implemented fully beginning with the 1996-1997 school year. (2) Secondary, Grades 6-12. All provisions of §74.3(b) of this title (relating to Description of a Required Secondary Curriculum) and Subchapter B of this chapter (relating to Graduation Requirements) shall be implemented fully beginning with the 1997-1998 school year. A student entering Grade 9 in the 1997-1998 school year or thereafter must meet the provisions of Subchapter B of this chapter (relating to Graduation Requirements). (3) Other sections. Provisions of other sections of this chapter shall be implemented during the 1996-1997 school year unless otherwise specified.
