(a) A trauma-informed foster family home that in addition
to providing a child's basic living needs, has enhanced training and
skill in coordinating services and providing care for children, youth,
and young adults that may present with a DSM diagnosis of substance-related
disorder or with challenges with recurring substance use, and who
require routine clinical intervention to support and manage day-to-day
activities.
(b) This Service Package is designed to offer community-based
care and treatment/recovery services for children, youth, and young
adults based on their individual strengths and needs, and in accordance
with their customized Service Plan and permanency goals.
(c) Child Placing Agencies and Foster Family Home
Caregivers must be Credentialed to provide Substance Use Support Services
in accordance with the guidelines and requirements as defined by the
Department of Family and Protective Services pursuant to Chapter 40
of the Texas Human Resources Code.
