(a) A mental health provider shall assess any resident
who, at the conclusion of an internal investigation or TJJD investigation
of abuse, neglect, or exploitation that occurred in the facility,
is found to have been the victim of a sexual assault. The mental health
provider shall assess the need for crisis intervention counseling
and any subsequent long-term, follow-up, or counseling services. The
assessment and any subsequent counseling services shall be at no cost
to the resident or the resident's family.
(b) Determinations as to what assessment and counseling
services are necessary and appropriate shall be made by a mental health
provider or in direct consultation with a mental health provider.
