| (a) After laboratory analysis. If destruction under this subchapter
follows a laboratory analysis process that has resulted in adequate repackaging
and sealing of an item, the director will deem a destruction inventory to
be sufficient if it consists of an inspection, accomplished without breaking
the seal, in order to:
(1) verify the nature, kind, and quantity of the items sought
to be destroyed as compared with the original laboratory submission; and
(2) determine the status of the packaging and seal integrity.
(b) No laboratory analysis. If destruction does not follow
a laboratory analysis process that has resulted in adequate repackaging and
sealing of an item, a destruction inventory must include:
(1) the relevant case or file number;
(2) the name of the seizing law enforcement agency or peace
officer;
(3) a description of the packaging;
(4) a description of the status of the packaging and seal integrity;
and
(5) the count and weight of the item, including the exact nature,
kind, and quantity.
