(a) Testing for sexually transmitted diseases, including
HIV/AIDS, shall be made available to a resident who is found in an
internal investigation or TJJD investigation to have been abused,
neglected, or exploited in a manner by which any physical injuries
may have occurred or any sexually transmitted disease may have been
contracted. The testing services and any subsequent medical treatment
services shall be at no cost to the resident or the resident's family.
(b) Determinations as to what testing and treatment
services are medically necessary and appropriate shall be made by
a health care professional or in direct consultation with a health
care professional.
