SUBCHAPTER IBASIC CARE REQUIREMENTS FOR TODDLERS
RULE §746.2501What are the basic care requirements for toddlers?

Basic care for toddlers must include:

  (1) Routines such as diapering, feeding, sleeping, and indoor and outdoor activity times, maintained as closely as possible;

  (2) Care given by the same caregiver on a regular basis, when possible;

  (3) Individual attention given to each toddler including playing, talking, and cuddling;

  (4) Holding and comforting a toddler who is upset; and

  (5) Ensuring the environment is free of objects that may cause choking in infants or toddlers.
