| (a) Except as provided in §65.253(c) of this title (relating to General Provisions), no person may buy, sell, or trade the pelt of a bobcat taken in this state unless the pelt has been permanently tagged in accordance with this subchapter. (b) Any person possessing a bobcat pelt for purposes other than buying, selling, or trading may obtain a bobcat pelt tag by presenting the pelt to any dealer or TPWD Law Enforcement Division Office and completing and signing an Annual Bobcat Pelt Tag Report (PWD 406) (c) Any person other than a dealer who intends to transport or sell outside Texas the pelt of a bobcat taken in this state shall complete, sign, and submit an Out-of-State Shipping or Selling Report (PWD 404) within 20 days of the time the pelt is shipped.
