RULE §15.88Demand for Surrender

(a) The department may demand the surrender of a person's driver license or identification card when state law authorizes the surrender.

(b) A driver license or identification card that is suspended, revoked, canceled, disqualified, or denied that is not demanded to be surrendered by the department can be held by the individual and used for identification purposes only. Actual possession of the driver license does not provide the individual whose driver license is suspended, revoked, canceled, disqualified, or denied authorization to operate a motor vehicle.
