(a) A family leave pool is established to provide eligible
employees more flexibility in:
(1) bonding with and caring for children during a child's
first year following birth, adoption, or foster placement; and
(2) caring for a seriously ill family member or the
employee themselves, including pandemic-related illnesses or complications
caused by a pandemic.
(b) The Administrator for Human Resources, or his or
her designee, will administer the family leave pool.
(c) The pool administrator will develop and maintain
a policy, operating procedures, and forms for the administration of
the family leave pool, subject to approval by the Deputy Commissioner.
(d) Operation of the pool shall be consistent with
the Texas Government Code, Chapter 661, Subchapter A-1.
