| (a) English Language Arts and Reading: Grades 4-8.
The English Language Arts and Reading: Grades 4-8 certificate may
be issued no earlier than September 1, 2002, and no later than December
31, 2020.
(b) English Language Arts and Reading with Science
of Teaching Reading: Grades 4-8. The English Language Arts and Reading:
Grades 4-8 certificate may be issued no earlier than January 1, 2021.
The certificate may be issued on the basis of a passing score on the
117 ELAR 4-8 TExES examination no later than October 30, 2022.
(c) Social Studies: Grades 4-8. The Social Studies:
Grades 4-8 certificate may be issued no earlier than September 1,
2002.
(d) English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies:
Grades 4-8. The English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies:
Grades 4-8 certificate may be issued no earlier than September 1,
2002, and no later than December 31, 2020.
(e) English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies
with Science of Teaching Reading: Grades 4-8. The English Language
Arts and Reading/Social Studies with Science of Teaching Reading:
Grades 4-8 certificate may be issued no earlier than January 1, 2021.
(f) English Language Arts and Reading: Grades 7-12.
The English Language Arts and Reading: Grades 7-12 certificate may
be issued no earlier than September 1, 2013.
(g) Social Studies: Grades 7-12. The Social Studies:
Grades 7-12 certificate may be issued no earlier than September 1,
2013.
(h) History: Grades 7-12. The History: Grades 7-12
certificate may be issued no earlier than September 1, 2013.
(i) Journalism: Grades 7-12. The Journalism: Grades
7-12 certificate may be issued no earlier than September 1, 2013.
(j) Speech: Grades 7-12. The Speech: Grades 7-12 certificate
may be issued no earlier than November 1, 2010.
