(a) - (d)(No change.)

(e)If the applicant has not satisfied all requirements within one year from the time the commission accepted an application for filing, including passing both parts of the examination, the application is terminated and a new application is required.

(f)Successful completion of both parts of the examination is valid for a period of 24 months.

(g)An applicant who fails the examination three consecutive times may not apply for reexamination or submit a new license application unless the applicant submits evidence satisfactory to the commission that the applicant has completed additional core education as follows, after the date the applicant failed the examination for the third time:

  (1)for an applicant for a professional inspector license, 15 hours for a scaled score of 70 to 74;

  (2)for an application for a professional and real estate inspector license:

    (A)30 hours for a scaled score of 65 to 69;

    (B)45 hours for a scaled score of 60 to 64; and

    (C)60 hours for a scaled score of 59 or lower.

This agency hereby certifies that the proposal has been reviewed by legal counsel and found to be within the agency's legal authority to adopt.
